How to Take Nerve Honey: The Two-Capsule Routine, Timing and Practical Cautions

Two capsules, once a day, with an 8 oz glass of water. That is the whole instruction printed on the bottle. One bottle of 60 capsules lasts 30 days. Do not take more than two capsules in a day: the label warns against exceeding the dose, and the main risks of this formula, sedation and the rare liver reaction linked to corydalis[4], rise with the amount.
Choosing a time of day
Three of the five herbs, passionflower, California poppy and corydalis, are calming. Passionflower alone can cause drowsiness, dizziness and confusion in some people[1]. For that reason we suggest an evening start: take the first week's doses with or after dinner, at home, and notice how you feel the next morning. If you feel nothing at all, a consistent time matters more than which time. If you feel heavy or slow the next day, keep it in the evening or reconsider whether it suits you.
Avoid driving, operating machinery or climbing ladders within a few hours of a dose until you know how it affects you.
With food, water and other pills
The label does not say whether to take Nerve Honey with food. Herbal powders can upset an empty stomach, so a meal is reasonable. Swallow the capsules whole with the full glass of water.
Marshmallow root is a mucilage, a gel-forming fiber recognized for coating the throat and stomach[3]. Mucilages can slow the absorption of medicines swallowed at the same time, so leave about an hour between Nerve Honey and your other tablets.
Missed doses, travel and storage
Missed a day? Skip it and carry on the next day; do not take four capsules to catch up. Traveling? Keep the capsules in the original bottle with its label, which helps at security and in a pharmacy. Storage: the label asks for a cool, dry place away from heat, light and humidity, so not a bathroom cabinet or a hot car. Keep it out of the reach of children.
Who should not follow this routine
Do not start Nerve Honey without medical advice if you are pregnant or nursing (passionflower should not be used in pregnancy[1]), under 18 (the label excludes minors; the European monograph limits passionflower to over-12s[2]), have liver disease, take sedating medicines, or have surgery planned within two weeks.
Keep a simple log
On day one, score four things from 0 to 10: tingling, burning, numbness and sleep quality. Repeat every Sunday. Note any drowsiness, dizziness or stomach upset. The label says two capsules daily without splitting them. Splitting is unlikely to matter, but a single evening dose keeps any drowsiness to the night.
Can I take Nerve Honey with coffee?
Yes, nothing in it interacts with caffeine directly. Coffee may simply offset some of the calming effect.
